Leopard Creek Equestrian is in Benoni, Gauteng — about 25 minutes from central Joburg. Easiest by car (parking on-site); Gautrain visitors can take the train to Rhodesfield and an Uber from there. Detailed directions and the venue pin sit on the map section above.
Parking is included with your ticket — secure, fenced, marshal-supervised, with a lit pathway to the gates. On-site security patrols throughout the day, and a clearly-marked first-aid tent (Medieval Medics) is stationed near the Castle Gate Entrance.
Sturdy boots are essential — the field is open ground. Bring layers (Highveld winter days warm up quickly then cool sharply at dusk), sunscreen, and your coin or card. Costumes are warmly encouraged but never required.
Yes — the Market Place runs all day with food stalls, craft vendors and a dedicated Mead & Ale tent, with vegetarian and halaal options available. You're welcome to bring a picnic blanket or folding chair, though plenty of seating is provided too. Coolers aren't permitted.
Yes. For school groups, scout troops, and parties of ten or more, email bookings@medievalfair.co.za to discuss rates and reserved seating near the main stage. Group bookings need to be confirmed at least two weeks ahead of the day.
The venue is on level ground with packed-earth and grass paths suitable for most wheelchairs and mobility aids. An accessible viewing area is reserved at the main stage. If you need any specific accommodations, email us in advance and we'll arrange it.
The fair runs rain-or-shine — Highveld winter weather is mostly dry but layers help. The full refund and exchange policy is shown on the ticketing page when you book. If anything is unclear, email us before the day.
Tickets are on sale now — book online using the Get Tickets button anywhere on this page. Your ticket covers entry to all six grounds and on-site parking. Group, school and party rates for ten or more are available on request.
