Visiting the Medieval Fair

The Medieval Fair is held at Leopard Creek Equestrian, Benoni (68 Leopard Road), about 25 minutes from central Johannesburg, on Saturday 8 August 2026 from 10:00 to 18:00. Parking is on-site and included with every ticket.

By car

By Gautrain

Visitors on the Gautrain can ride to Rhodesfield station and take a short Uber or metered taxi to the venue.

Parking & security

Parking is included with every ticket. The lot is fenced and patrolled, and on-site security works the grounds throughout the day. A clearly-marked first-aid point sits near the Castle Gate entrance.

Accessibility

The field is level, with packed-earth and grass paths suitable for most wheelchairs and mobility aids, and an accessible viewing area reserved at the main stage. Email bookings@medievalfair.co.zaahead of the day for any specific accommodation and we'll arrange it.

What to bring

Sturdy boots for open ground, layers for the Highveld winter, sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, and cash plus a card. Picnic baskets, coolers and folding chairs are welcome. Costumes are warmly encouraged, never required.

Parking is included with your ticket — secure, fenced, marshal-supervised, with a lit pathway to the gates. On-site security patrols throughout the day, and a clearly-marked first-aid tent (Medieval Medics) is stationed near the Castle Gate Entrance.
